Easily one of the fondest memory of a location I have of Taiwan. This unique pedestrian bridge was leading from the south east coast of the main island of Taiwan to a seemingly tiny island which seemed to be nothing more than shrubs and rocks, which in Canada we would just name after someone but since it’s Taiwan the the island of the Three Immortals followed by a mythical back story. As impromptu as this tour was for us we unfortunately I did not have time to entirely grasp the importance of locations and couldn’t follow our path geographically. Hearing the tides crash against the rocky beach, feeling the ocean breeze in subtropical temperatures from 10 meters above the beautiful blue ocean were all great new experiences for me looking back especially for a kid born in raised in the Alberta prairies. I fondly remember running up and down the steps across the bridge, making it to the other side, taking photos along the way and having a little relief from the heat was great too. All the while in my ignorance wondering why and when this bridge was created. If I ever were to revisit, I’d probably easily be able to spend 3-4 hours here exploring, unfortunately I think we only had an hour.
